About
About this resource and how it works
Who maintains it
This site is maintained independently by a concerned Crismark resident. Questions and corrections go to [email protected].
Why it exists
Crismark owners are being asked to sign a notarized consent to amend the community's covenants. This resource puts the underlying records in one place so owners can read them for themselves. That includes the 1998 development approval, Town records and the HOA's own materials. It does not tell anyone how to decide.
Fact, analysis and open questions
- Documented Fact What a cited record says. It doesn't vouch that the record is right.
- Analysis This resource's reading of the records. Others may reasonably read them differently.
- Unanswered Question Something the available records don't settle.
How records are collected and verified
Records come from public information requests to the Town of Indian Trail, public land records, the North Carolina General Assembly, and material posted publicly about the amendment. Each document is stored unaltered and fingerprinted (SHA-256). Its provenance is recorded, and it gets a verification status:
- Verified: obtained from the issuing body or the place it was published, with identifying details checked.
- Partially verified: origin known, but some details (such as completeness) not yet checked.
- Unverified: origin or completeness not yet confirmed.
Documents are reviewed for personal information before publication. Every email address and phone number is redacted, including public officials', along with private addresses and account numbers, even when they appear in public records. Names are not redacted.
How claims are assessed
A claim is quoted exactly, or summarized fairly and marked as a summary, with its source and date. The assessment lists every document reviewed, cites the passages relied on, and says what would be needed to settle it. Assessments never infer motives, and the absence of a record is never treated as proof that something did not happen. Legal interpretations are reviewed by an attorney before publication.
Corrections, documents and responses
If something here is wrong, or you have a record that bears on it, please send it. The HOA board, the developer and the Town are invited to send factual corrections or responses. Submissions are reviewed before anything is published. Material corrections are listed on the Updates page with what changed and why.
